They say that as wolves were tamed into dogs it was evolutionally more more beneficial to dogs than humans, even though humans were in the position to “use” dogs to help in the hunting. Dogs got shelter, food, protected procreation and another pack to be a part of.
When I look at these gifs I get a strong urge to get a puppy of my own to “have and to hold until death do us part”. Evolution at work?
